“Jaxson” Case Study
Starting From Scratch
When Jaxson and I first started working together, the focus was simple.
Rather than trying to expand everywhere at once, the goal was to establish a strong foundation on YouTube Shorts and explore other platforms later if the results justified it.
At the time, short form content was not a major focus for the channel. Uploads were limited, time was tight, and there was very little recent data to work with. Because of that, we kept the strategy straightforward and committed to one Short per day.
Despite starting from zero, the first month delivered strong results.
The Shorts generated nearly 400,000 views on their own, while the channel accumulated over 3 million total views across all content, making it one of the strongest months the channel had seen in quite some time.
More importantly, we now had something we did not have before.
Data.
For the first time, we could see exactly what the audience was responding to, which topics performed best, and where the biggest opportunities for growth existed going into month two.
Everything Clicked
The second month was where everything started to come together.
With a full month of data behind us, we had a much clearer understanding of what the audience responded to, which formats performed best, and where the biggest opportunities for growth existed.
The results were immediate.
The channel generated over 1.8 million views from Shorts alone, more than quadrupling the previous month's performance. Combined with long form content, the channel surpassed 4.2 million total views, making it arguably one of the strongest months in the channel's history.
Even more impressive was the quality of those views.
Engaged views were through the roof, audience response was stronger than ever, and the momentum continued building throughout the entire month. By the end of the period, the growth curve was still climbing higher, making it clear that this was not the peak.
