“Taylor John Hardin” Case Study

Building a Presence From Scratch

When we started working together, Taylor had virtually no short form presence across any platform.

There had been a few attempts in the past, but nothing had gained meaningful traction. TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts were all largely untapped opportunities, so from day one the goal was to build across all three platforms simultaneously.

The first signs of momentum came almost immediately.

Within the very first week, the account gained over 500 followers on both TikTok and Instagram, despite being inactive on short form content for years.

By the end of the first month, the results spoke for themselves.

On TikTok, the account generated nearly 2 million views and gained almost 1,000 new followers, with multiple videos reaching large audiences and bringing a steady stream of new viewers to the channel.

On Instagram, the account surpassed 1 million views and gained over 1,000 new followers, creating momentum that continued building throughout the month.

On YouTube, despite Shorts not being a major focus for a long time, the channel still generated over 700,000 views in just four weeks.

Even more impressive, Shorts alone produced a 2,630% increase in views compared to previous performance, while engagement across the entire channel increased by more than 5 times. For an account that had been largely inactive on the short form side, it was an exceptional start and a clear sign of what was possible moving forward.

Short form content usually takes time to gain momentum, especially on inactive accounts.

Seeing these kinds of results within the first month was a strong indication that the strategy was working and that much bigger growth was possible moving forward.

Building on the Momentum

After a strong first month, the goal was simple.

Keep building on the momentum and prove that the results were not a one time spike.

The second month did exactly that.

On Instagram, the account generated over 1.7 million views and gained more than 1,500 new followers. More than 1 million accounts were reached, and almost every video performed consistently well throughout the month, showing that the growth was becoming increasingly predictable.

On TikTok, the account generated over 1.3 million views and gained nearly 1,000 new followers, with multiple videos continuing to reach large audiences and bring in new viewers.

On YouTube, Shorts generated over half a million views on their own, while long form content experienced one of the strongest periods the channel had seen overall.

The foundation had been built, the audience was responding, and all three platforms were continuing to move in the right direction.

By the end of month two, it was clear that the first month was not luck.
